There's a few things that still bothers me in our field, things that I'm sure can be facilitate with some modern apps.
Things like quick prototyping, animation and local development.
That's why for the moment I'm eagerly waiting for those apps to lighten my work:
I confident enough to say that it's the Macaw I always wanted. It will be a visual editor and that's exactly what I asked all those years. Something I can really work with, that can speed up my workflow. Perhaps one of my main concern would be about its ability to import code but that's a detail compare to its ability to do what I want.
Availability: normally only a matter of weeks (days?) now.
I tried several solutions here, MAMP because it was the easiest but also heavy solution with some failings, the inside mac solution with apache and some scripts but each time I updated my OS it just breaks. I tried Fenix and find it really easy and efficient. The next release will be better than ever.
Availability: already on beta testing so just a question of weeks now.
I somehow regrets the era of Adobe Flash, at least for animations. That's why I really waiting something about this app. Not sure yet if it'll be something good.
There another apps out there but nothing I can really work with for the moment.
Availability: this summer.
And you, what future apps are you waiting eagerly these days?
