That would be nice. For those of us who use high resolution monitors and who no longer have 20/15 vision, the skinny font style has been a headache in more ways than one. I use a few 100 wt fonts myself, but only for large text, such as overlays over background images.
There was a huge changeover around ten years ago in print and web to sans serif fonts, which are all about style and do not have the readability / visual hinting that serif fonts have. For our corporate fonts I use various weights of Optima (with include the subtle visual hinting without being a true serif font), as well as a specific sans font for decoration and emphasis.
